About Us

Welcome to the Metropolitan International School. What a year 2020/2021 has been!

The COVID-19 pandemic has dramatically changed the landscape of education forever, and while this past year has had its challenges, we are very proud of the MIS faculty and students for their ability to rise to the occasion and adapt quickly to a new level of e-learning tools and digital platforms. Our ability to transition into virtual learning in one day showed how truly engaged an capable our community is.

Today, with the accelerated integration of information technology in our classrooms, we are in a better position than ever to provide more efficient and more effective learning through resources such as chat rooms, video tools, presentation softtware and more.

At the end of the day, we are a family here at MIS. We benefit from the 22 different nationalities and 13 unique languages that are represented on our campuses. We offer an forward-thinking international curriculum, partnering with Cambridge International for grades Pre-School through 10th, and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program for 11th and 12th.

(Our ambitious syllabus is based on the core curriculum stipulated by the Federal State of Hesse and the guidelines established by Cambridge International Examinations Programme. MIS is also an accredited Cambridge International Centre.)

We encourage continual high aspirations, and aim to support students' individual development. Our students go to universities all over the world

Whether you are a family native to the metropolitan Rhine-Neckar region, or you are moving from around the world to this area and you wish to ensure your child(ren) benefit from an international experience - one which builds on a child's present language and general knowledge and ensures that they will be able to make a smooth transition to any other international school - we are here to provide resources and an adventure for you.

We are happy to answer any questions you may have. Please feel free to contact us at contact@metroschool.de.

Kind regards,

Laurent Cassell, Principal
