About the Role

Metropolitan International School (MIS) is seeking passionate and qualified Early Childhood Education Professionals to join our growing international team in Viernheim / Mannheim.

This role is ideal for educators who are enthusiastic about early years development, international education, and creating a nurturing, play-based learning environment for young children.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons aligned with early childhood education best practices
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
• Support children’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development
• Observe, assess, and document student progress
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and the wider school community
• Contribute to school events, projects, and extracurricular activities

Your Profile

• Recognized qualification in Early Childhood Education, Kindergarten, or Primary Education
• Experience working with young learners (ages 3–6 preferred)
• Strong understanding of child development and play-based learning approaches
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Fluency in English (German is a plus)
• Passion for working in an international school environment

Early Years English Teacher

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who:

• Holds a degree in Early Childhood Education, Childhood Psychology, or a related field (recognized by German authorities)
• Is a native English speaker
• Has at least 2 years of experience working with young learners
• Is committed to supporting children aged 0–6 in both care and development
• Creates a creative, playful, and nurturing learning environment
• Works collaboratively with parents and Kindergarten leadership
• Thrives in a multicultural, team-based environment
• Demonstrates empathy for children’s emotional and developmental needs
• Brings energy, enthusiasm, and passion to early years education
• Has strong organizational and time management skills
• Is confident in documenting student progress
• Is ready to relocate to Germany and join our international school community
