We are honored that you are interested in learning more about the Application Process at the Metropolitan International School.
Below are details of our Application Process, and how we place new students into a selected grade to ensure they have the best opportunities to be supported and grow. The steps outlined below provide visibility to our general Admissions Process.

Early Learning generally goes through 5 years of age (please note each nursery/kindergarten location serves different age groups.) The Cambridge curriculum begins in Kindergarten, such as early reading and simple math activities.
Early Learning is available at the following locations and age ranges:
- Geneva (1 year to 5 years)
- Heidelberg (10 months to 5 years)
- Mannheim (3 months to 5 years)
- Viernheim (3 years to 5 years)
Primary School is 1st grade through 4th grade (generally ages 5 years to 10 years old.) Cambridge Primary focuses on growing a love of learning while building upon the essential skills that will help them thrive in Secondary school.
Primary (grades 1-4) is available at our main campus in Viernheim.
Secondary School is 5th grade through 10th grade (generally ages 11 years to 16 years old.) Cambridge curriculum offers a flexible curriculum with integrated assessment in Mathematics, English and Science. It builds on the foundation of Cambridge Primary.
Secondary is available at our main campus in Viernheim.
The International Baccalaureate Diplomme Program is grades 11 and 12 (generally ages 17 and 18.) This two-year curriculum is an academically challenging programme aiming to develop students who flourish physically, intellectually, emotionally and ethically. It is respected by top universities across the globe.
The IB Diploma is available at our main campus in Viernheim.
